Call for AACTFest 2013 Workshops

The AACT Workshops Committee is offering you the opportunity to share your expertise with others at AACTFest 2013 in Carmel, IN next June.  Send your proposal for a workshop and don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Scroll to the bottom of the page to submit your proposal.

Proposals need to be received by September 1, 2012 - extended to October 1.

Some popular workshops in the past have covered these subjects:

• Acting (various styles and techniques)
• Musical Theatre
• Directing

We would also love to see more proposals for workshops on:

• Theatre Administration
• Youth theatre or programs
• Technical theatre
• Anything else you can think of!!!

The Committee is also interested in suggestions for topics.  Email your ideas to Chris Serface or Jennifer Van Bruggen (chris@tmp.org or jennifer@topekacivictheatre.com).  We are looking for new and exciting workshops. 

Workshops are well-received when those in attendance have a chance to learn by doing, discussing, or sharing, so please keep that in mind as you put together your proposal.  Most workshops will be in the traditional 75-minute format, but we’re open to ideas for longer and shorter presentations.   

Help us enrich the creative experience in Carmel at AACTFest 2013.

Note:  There is a very limited budget for Workshops. The majority of chosen proposals will be provided by presenters willing to donate their services as in past AACT events. AACT can provide a letter noting donation of these services, and presenters' names and presentations will be listed on written and website materials. A minimal number of workshops will be chosen for stipend/travel reimbursement. These workshops will be ranked by the event committee with priority workshops chosen until funds are no longer are available.
